摘要:
A floristic study of epilithic aerial algae within Great Smoky Mountains National Park was undertaken as part of that park's All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory. Previous studies of algae in this park have not focused on the algae of aerial environments. Samples were collected in May 2001 from 9 separate bedrock formations in the park. One hundred and eighteen algal species are reported from 18 sites, and were the source of 108 new park records published in a recent checklist. Forty-six potentially new species were observed.
