摘要
Energy intensity is an important indicator to evaluate the coordination of energy-economy-environment system, so reducing energy intensity has become one of the greatest challenges of economy development. In order to study the relation between energy intensity and influential factors of energy intensity in China, a regression equation is used in this paper, using the method of stepwise regression analysis. By introducing the data of real GDP, total energy consumption and energy consumption mix, all data over the period 1990-2008, the regression equation can rationally simulate the energy intensity. Empirical results show that energy structure and energy conversion efficiency have a great impact on energy intensity. In the future, we should raise R&D expenditure on energy technology accounted for the proportion of GDP, optimize energy Structure, upgrade the industry structure and develop the new energy. As the regression equation has a very good simulation results, it can be used to forecast energy intensity of China. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
