摘要
Electrochemical behavior studies were carried out for 2-thiouracil, using TiO2 nanoparticles modified gold electrode. As compared with the bare electrode, there was appreciable enhancement in the peak current and sensitivity for the modified electrode. The effect of pH was investigated in the range of 3.0-11.2 pH. Scan rate variation were performed to calculate the number of electrons transferred, heterogeneous rate constant and diffusion coefficient. A probable electrode reaction mechanism was proposed for 2-thiouracil in the present work. A differential voltammetric technique was used for the analytical application in the range of 1.0 x 10(-7) M-5.0 x10(-8) M. Limit of detection and quantification were calculated and found to be 1.68 nM and 5.60 nM. The proposed method was applied for the determination of 2-thiouracil in pharmaceutical and human urine samples. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
