摘要
This study examined the associated factors of positive aspects of caregiving experience among family care-givers of persons living with dementia in Taiwan. This cross-sectional correlational study recruited dyads of primary family caregivers of persons living with dementia by convenience sampling from dementia care cen-ters in northern Taiwan from September 9, 2020, to June 20, 2021. A total of 100 dyads who met inclusions criteria agreed to participate in the study. Significant predictors of positive aspects of caregiving experience were scores of dementia behavior disturbance (t=-3.63, p =<.001), a spousal caregiver (t=2.83, p =.006), and the subscale score for satisfaction on the functional social support (t=2.62, p =.01). Our findings suggest pre-vention and treatment of dementia behavior disturbance for persons living with dementia, improving satis-faction with functional social support, and focusing on non-spousal caregivers could enhance experiences of positive caregiving for family caregivers.(c) 2022 Published by Elsevier Inc.
