We propose in this paper a new approach to dynamically generate PDA-based clinical decision support systems (or CDSS for short). We address technical issues for our framework to automate the development of PDA-based CDSSs, and implement our solutions to these issues. Our prototype, called "CDSSGen," provides a set of editors for domain experts to define clinical information, and automatically generates a PDA-based CDSS on the fly. We verify our approach by applying CDSSGen to generate a point-of-care CDSS for "thyroid" disease.
