摘要
Observability of bearings-only target motion analysis is a basic problem in the bearings-only measurement system. An observable bearings-only measurement system is a precondition for locating and tracking targets effectively. This paper analyzes the observability of bearings-only measurement system from the viewpoint of stochastic systems, introduces Fisher information matrix as a criterion for determining observability and proposes a new method for determining observability of stochastic systems which is entirely different with the one for deterministic system. Finally an example of static target's observability in bearings-only measurement system is given to illustrate the validity of this method.
