Analysis of Rural Households' Borrowing Behavior and Its Influencing Factors in Western China

Difficulty in obtaining loans for rural households is a common problem in China, and with the rapid development of the rural economy, the problem of shortage of funds for rural households has become imminent Based on the data of China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) in 2018, the rural households in western China were taken as the research objects, and the Bayesian network model was used to conduct empirical research on rural households' borrowing behavior and its influencing factors. The study found that among the influencing factors of borrowing behavior, education level and Internet usage have a high structural importance, and have a higher correlation with other factors in the network structure. Social capital, total cash and deposits, and quality of life have a high probability of importance, which are all factors that have a significant impact on borrowing behavior. (C) 2021 The Authors.
