A chemiluminescence H2O2 sensor based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP) immobilized by sol-gel method

A Chemiluminescence(CL) H2O2 sensor based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP) immobilized by sol-gel method was proposed in this article. A new procedure of fabricating HRP encapsulated sol-gel membrane was suggested. The variables of CL reaction catalyzed by HRP was optimized to give a sensitive response. A calibration response curve was obtained in the range from 10 mu M to 2000 mu M with a detection limit of 8 mu M. The linear relative coefficient r(2)=0.998. The sensor showed a good reproducibility of relative standard deviation 2.4% and a long life time of at least three months. The proposed sensor was used to determine a long time stored 30% H2O2 solution. The results were in good agreement with the standard volumetric method.
