A study on properties and structure of recycled polystyrene

摘要
This paper presents a study on recycled expanded polystyrene (PS), which was extruded and then injection molded into test specimens. Mechanical properties including tensile strength, impact strength and Durometer hardness were investigated as a function of number of injection molding cycles. The structural change due to repeated processing was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis.
