Neutrinos from neutralino dark matter -: Expected fluxes and searches

A large fraction of the mass in the Universe can be in the form of dark matter, of which a Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) is one of the favorite candidates. In supersymmetric extensions of the standard model, the lightest neutralino arises naturally as a WIMP and hence as a good dark matter candidate. We will here go through how neutralino dark matter can be searched for with neutrino telescopes focusing on theoretical predictions of the neutrino-induced muon fluxes from neutralino annihilations in the center of the Earth and the Sun.
