Sensitivities of the gluon polarization measurement at PHENIX

摘要：

We plan to perform direct measurements of the gluon polarization, Deltag(x), in the proton using polarized proton collisions at RHIC. The measurements are carried out by probing gluon+quark and gluon+gluon reactions with the PHENIX detector system. Sensitivities to the gluon polarization in prompt photon and pion production measurements are discussed.
