摘要：
The study of plants based medicines used by local people and backward classes in Agra district, Uttar Pradesh for eliminating and controlling many different diseases is carried out and results are presented in table 1. From this study, it is noticed that the some plants play an important role for treatment of different diseases by local people in the district. Some of these medicinal plants like Saraca indica, Ficus religiosa, Syzgium cumiuni, Aloe vera, Nicotiana tabacum, Adhatoda zeylenica, Momordica charantia are being used by some pharmaceutical companies.
