摘要
Since 1990, about 200 CFST arch bridges have been built all over China. The developing history of CFST arch bridges is divided into two distinctive stages according to the structural evolution in this paper. The advantages and disadvantages of design and construction were introduced separately in the different stages. The design defects and construction problems of CFST arch bridges, such as inappropriately pumped concrete causing weak bond between the steel tube wall and the filling concrete, the lack of effective post-grouting measures, the dangerous stress fatigue in the CFST arch ribs and short suspenders caused by repeated service loads, are stressed. The three typical CFST arch bridges are introduced in this paper.
