摘要
Technical characteristics of the Ukrainian ST (stratosphere - toposphere) wind profiler are described and its proposed modernization is discussed. Joint ST wind profiler and radiosonde measurements are encouraging, although the distance between the measurement sites makes these comparisons only illustrative. Clear air polarization measurements are presented, together with the results from the passage of a cold front, as examples of the capabilities of the system.
