From dialectic theology to the analogy of faith: the relationship between theology and philosophy in Karl Barth

The purpose of this article is to analyze Karl Barth's perspective on the relationship between theology and philosophy. As Barth himself reformulated his understanding of the theme, we will take as basis for our reflection three texts that represent distinct moments of the maturation of Barthian thought, namely, the preface to the second edition of the Letter to the Romans of 1921, the commentary to Fides quaerens intellectum of Anselm of 1931 and sections of Church Dogmatics of 1932.
