A room of one's own: Museums devoting a room to a reflection of/on their own history

Ever mom museums are showcasing not only exhibits but also themselves, making visitors aware of curatorial practices and policies. A self-reflective and reflexive perspective which brings matters of historical self-consciousness to the fore, sometimes by means of mementoes and historicist displays, but increasingly more with a specific space for institutional autobiography. "Prado 200" will be a further step, taking the cue from close examples, in accordance with current museological tendencies worldwide.
