The Analytical Survey of Educational Problems Connected with Students Adjustment to University Studies

The article analyses the problem of students' adjustment for studies process at universities and adaptation to new social climate. Practice of Kaunas University of Technology and other world universities are presented in this article. Universities created a lot of different services, programs and courses for the first year students in order to ensure fluent and easy transition of newcomers to University life. These programs having the same purpose differ in time, social mission, and cultural difference. Details of implementation of new course Introductory to Studies in Kaunas University of Technology, presented in this article, should ensure easier students first steps in the academic community.
