摘要
Penke et al. (this issue) argue that evolutionary genetics offers important insights into the fundamental nature of personality-how people adaptively adjust to their life circumstances in particular ways, as well as failures to adapt. I strongly endorse this enterprise. It is particularly promising, I suggest, when embedded within life history theory (LHT), a broad evolutionary framework to understand selection on organisms.
