Design and Implementation of Wideband Dual Patch L-Band Microstrip Antenna

摘要
Generally microstrip antenna is a relatively narrow band antenna for that the band width is 2 to 5 percent of the centre frequency. And with the depress of the frequency, the band width of microstrip antenna is reduced, especially in L band. So the band width of traditional microstrip antennas can not satisfy the demands of modern wireless communication systems. A pentagon mend used as the patch is put on the top of dielectric layers. The thickness of the dielectric layers is 1mm and the feeding method of this antenna is backed concentric probe. Using accessional autoecious patch technology, a wideband antenna is implemented. The material of the two medium levels is also polytetrafluoroethene with 2.2 dielectric constant. And the material of patches is cuprum. The antenna is tested by vector network analyzer and the measure results show that the frequency band width is 5 GHz to 8 GHz and the relative band width reaches to 69 percent.
