An Analysis of the Relationship Between Social Responsibility and Financial Performance of Resource-exhausted Coal Enterprises

It is an urgent problem to find new economic and sustainable profit growth points for resource-exhausted enterprises such as coal enterprises. This paper takes the listed coal enterprises in China A-share marketas example to analyze the influence mechanism of coal enterprises' fulfillment of corporate social responsibility to stakeholders on financial performance as well as the interaction between them from the perspective of stakeholders. Results show that the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility to five major stakeholders can exert positive influence on financial performance and a fine relationship of mutual promotion exists between them with lag effects presented in both above relations.
