摘要
It is undeniable that technological innovations have caused changes and adaptations in the business world and that their reflexes reverberate in professions and companies. In this scenario, the adoption of technological tools has been a recurring investment in all sectors of the economy, aiming to obtain more accurate, agile and easier information access, assisting the organizational management to achieve its strategies. This study aims to investigate whether the use of Management Information Systems (GIS) by the controllership area influences organizational performance in a multinational company in the automotive sector. The information was obtained by means of a semi-structured interview with the controllership managers of the analyzed company. The main results indicate that the GIS is fully integrated, and it collaborates with the organizational and strategic performance. The use of the system and its respective modules promotes greater efficiency in the processes inherent to the controllership of the investigated company, in addition to providing subsidies for greater equity control, cost management and preparation of management reports. Therefore, the system used by the company is relevant to its organizational efficiency. It is envisaged that the study can contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about the use of GIS, aiming at the quality of the information generated for decision making process, obtaining greater strategic alignment and business efficiency.
