摘要
To improve the beam-wave interaction efficiency of the sheet beam traveling-wave tubes (SBTWTs), this paper studies the optimization effect of different algorithms on the beam-wave interaction efficiency of staggered double vane (SDV) slow-wave structure (SWS) based on the all-period phase velocity tapering optimization scheme. Through multiple optimization experiments on 30-period SDVSWS, different algorithms are studied to solve the global optimal value of the beam-wave interaction fitness function. By comparison, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is found to have a strong global search capability and a faster calculation speed. Finally, a 50-period SWS in the Ka-band is designed using PSO algorithm. The beam-wave interaction efficiency is 47.0% calculated by 1-D program and 39.3% verified by particle in cell (PIC) simulation.
