Study on the mechanism of the interaction between chitosan and alizarin red

摘要
The interaction of chitosan (CTS) and alizarin red (AR) at pH = 5.0 was studied by absorption spectra. The influence of the molar ratio of AR/CTS, different concentrations of NaCl and deacetylation degrees of CTS on the interaction between chitosan and alizarin red was investigated. The maximum binding numbers (N-E = 4.78 x 10(3), N-C = 4.73 x 10(3)) were obtained by spectroscopic experiment and theoretical model, respectively. The experimental value is consistent with the theoretical value.
