摘要
Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, big data processing, and artificial intelligence are cutting-edge technologies that have been changing the world. These technologies support each other and create many cross disciplinary and interdisciplinary domains of studies and applications. IoT connects the devices in the physical world to the virtual world through Internet and various protocols. The devices generate big amount of data containing vital information about the physical world. Cloud computing environments facilitate the process of big data and make intelligent decisions based on big data analyses and machine learning. This special issue selects eleven papers covering the cross disciplinary and interdisciplinary domains of IoT, cloud computing, big data processing, and machine learning. It also covers data security, data consistency, and information assurance in these domains.
