摘要
We have previously done RIS of Nb with thermal atomization [1,2]. The ultimate goal of our Nb studies is to develop fast neutron dosimetry of nuclear reactor materials by determining their Nb-93m content. Because refractory Nb metal is difficult to evaporate thermally, we have modified our RlS apparatus for use of laser ablation under high-vacuum conditions as an alternative atomization method. We have performed laser-induced-fluorescence (LIF) and RIS experiments in the ablated vapour.
