Traffic engineering extension for traditional QoS multicast routing algorithms

摘要
To make the best use of network resources across. QoS guaranteed multicast network, it is urgent to add traffic engineering mechanism, to the existing QoS multicast routing protocols. In this paper, we propose a new approach of integrating QoS multicast routing with TE-oriented admission control to offer traffic engineering function. Moreover, a TE-oriented admission control algorithm, namely dynamic bandwidth allocation with adaptive constraint (DBA-AC), is suggested to make the best use of resources across entire, multicast network by distributing traffic over different paths. Because this admission control algorithm is nonlinear and unsolvable by analytical approach, we employ OPNET simulation to study its performance.
