Seismic response analysis of mega-frame suspension vibration-absorption structures

摘要
A novel mega building structure system, namely mega-frame suspension vibration-absorption structure (MSVAS), is put forward in this paper. The basic composition and calculation model for the structure arc described. The El Centro and Taft earthquake waves are used to calculate the dynamic characteristics of the structure in the time domain, of which dynamic responses are proved satisfactory. Taking the top floor displacement of the primary structure and the inter-storey drifts of suspended segments as objective function, the finite element model is established, and comparative analysis with common mega-frame suspension structures (CMSS) is performed. The results show that the top floor displacement of MSVAS is about 70% of that of CMSS, and the inter-storey drifts of suspended segments of MSVAS are much larger than CMSS.
