摘要
This paper is divided in two parts: in the first section diagnostic approaches currently used in emission control are presented, the following section deals with diagnosis of distributed systems by means of signal rates. Initiated by the California Air Research Board (CARB), exhaust emission levels for passenger cars have been fixed by legislation in the United States leading to highly efficient engine control systems. In order to avoid pollution from defect cars all systems and components vital for emissions must be monitored in real-time. Copyright (C) 1998 IFAC.
