Exploration into College Students' Mental Health Education in the Era of Information Technology in China

Research shows that the number of students seeking psychological counseling services is rising in recent years indicating an increase in the awareness of students voicing their concerns and requesting mental health services. Traditionally, college students' mental health education is carried out through regular correlated curriculum and is supplemented by college counseling centers. However, the resources provided by college counseling centers are limited due to a series of reasons and regular curriculum covers a limited range of topics mostly theoretical in nature. With the vision of development of modern information technology in China, a new mode of combining online instruction with offline communication in college students' mental health education is on its way.
