摘要
The aim of craniofacial re-construction is to re-construct a fractured bone contour of an anatomical region. In this manuscript, we re-construct fractured craniofacial images using GC(2) rational Ball curves. The proposed interpolant have four free parameters and a genetic algorithm is used to optimize these parameters. The emphasis is laid on the accuracy and smoothness of re-constructed images. This manuscript also includes a clinical case of a fractured skull vault to show diverse application of the proposed algorithm.
