摘要
The microstructure of melt-spun Mg-Zn-Y-La RS ribbons was studied by TEM and XRD to make clear the relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties. Quarternary Mg-based alloy ingots were prepared by induction melting the mixtures of pure metals in an argon atmosphere. The Mg-Zn-Y-La RS ribbons with a cross section of 0.02 × 1.2 mm2 were prepared by a single roller melt-spinning technique. It was found that there was atomic level element segregation of Zn, Y and La in these alloys. TEM observation showed that the general morphology of the studied alloys were evidently distinguishable with the content increase of rare earth metal La.
