摘要
This paper studied the barriers to women's political participation in Brazil and electoral justice's strategy aiming to promote more rights and female inclusion in the electoral process. The methodology was supported by interdisciplinary theoretical references on the theme by qualitative and quantitative methods. Results showed significant legislative advances, allowing greater access to the Brazilian Parliament by women, and also showed the existence of barriers that prevent gender equality, such as the fragility of public policies, domestic violence, and electoral fraud. The conclusion was that the Brazilian Electoral Justice has encouraged female access to politics; however, it requires the establishment of interinstitutional partnerships especially with the State, Universities, Civil Society, and Political Parties, which allow more opportunities to women in public spaces of power.
