Aqueous-phase chemical reactions in the atmosphere

摘要
An importance of aqueous-phase chemical reactions is demonstrated on an example of sulfur dioxide oxidation in the atmosphere. This process results in acid rains with known negative impact on the environment. Till now such an aqueous-phase process in the atmosphere remained not fully understood. Their dynamics and mechanism in non-precipitating troposphere clouds is studied with a coupled gas-phase and aqueous-phase chemical model.
