Photo-induced enhancement of dispersion of Nano-TiO2 in water media

摘要
By the measurements of wettability, zeta potential, viscosity and sedimentation, the technique of surface chemistry was used to characterize the dispersion behavior under with and without UV irradiation condition. Photo-induced enhancement was found for the dispersion of nano-TiO2 in water. The photoaction highly improves the dispersion and stability. The effect is attributed to photogeneration of hydrophilic T1O2 surface through an investigation of the mechanism.
