摘要
Despite important reworkings in the fifteenth century and in the modern period, the kitchen of the Cistercian abbey of Bonport at Pont-de-l'Arche (Eure) preserves enough original elements to allow for the reconstruction of its elevations. The vaulted ground floor, the hood over the fireplace, the upper storey under an open timber-frame roof, as well as the spaces for distribution and circulation indicate how the kitchen functioned, when compared to thirteenth-century kitchens in other monastic orders and princely dwellings.
