摘要：
The aim of this further education unit is to illustrate the definition of complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections as well as asymptomatic bacteriuria and therefore to facilitate the classification of patients into risk groups. In addition to the diagnostics, the expected spectrum of pathogens and problems of the development of resistance as well as the indications for antibiotic versus purely symptomatic treatment are discussed. Recommendations for the selection of the active ingredient are included. Interesting aspects of microbiome/microbiota research are also presented.
