摘要
Battery charging is one of the important aspects in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology. Integrated battery chargers (IBCs) use existing driving motor and drive inverter in the EV to charge the battery. In this paper, mathematical model of a fast IBC with a split-phase induction machine with the existing three-phase inverter is presented. In the proposed scheme during charging, the stator windings of the motor are reconfigured to produce zero torque introducing unbalance and injecting harmonic currents into the grid. Modeling of the non-linear and time-varying grid interface inductance is presented in this manuscript. Simulation and experimental results are presented for validation of the model.
