摘要
This paper explores the variables that affect the probability of donation to charity by Chinese households. The dataset employed is the Charles data of China's Health and Retirement Survey. We use probit and dprobit models based on 1237 samples in two provinces. It draws the conclusions that age, health have significant negative correlation with charitable participation, education has positive effects on participation, province category plays role on donation, income and gender have no significant effect on participation in charity. To date, there has been no prior econometric analysis of charitable donations in China.
