摘要：
The paper discusses an XML-based configuration repository, which constitutes the very core of the network management system. The repository models both network's organizational structure as well as its physical equipment through a set of carefully designed interfaces. A number of XML technologies have been used in the project to enhance the repository's flexibility and data interoperability. The paper discusses the repository's design and its implementation as a NET software component, which has been employed as a configuration database for a mobile broadband network. Observations resulting from the use of XML are also presented.
