Study on Consumer Protection in E-commerce

摘要
In recent years, e-commerce is booming in the whole world. Compared with the traditional trade, e-commerce transaction is a virtual world. In this virtual environment, many problems are arisen in practice, and seriously damage the legitimate rights of e-commerce consumers. This thesis is aimed to find some effective solutions to protect the rights of consumers in e-commerce. The methods used in this paper include literature summarization, comparative analysis and induction. On the basis of systemic analysis of legal relationship among participants in e-commerce, my findings are as following. Firstly, "withdraw right" is a guarantee of e-commerce consumers' return goods right; Secondly, the third party payment platform can protect the e-commerce consumers' safety of funds; Thirdly, small claims litigious system can settle the disputes among participants in e-commerce quickly; Finally, on-line dispute resolution can settle e-commerce disputes effectively and efficiently, because the participants in e-commerce do not have to come together, they just need a computer. Though the above 4 solutions are helpful to protect rights of consumer in e-commerce, they are not sufficient to solve all the disputes. There is still a long way to go.
