摘要
The objective is to show the coordination of the career service and attention to diversity services at Jaume I University to work in favour of the employability of students with special educational needs and/or a recognized disability. This article will analyse the experiment carried out in 2016-17 with a pioneering programme in external internships for students with disabilities financed by the ONCE Foundation in coordination with CRUE, which has been applied at many Spanish universities. External internships are a non-work educational experience in a cooperating organization; they are a formal experience limited in time with defined objectives, either as part of the curriculum or outside it, with twofold supervision (professional and academic) which includes validation and recognition of learning. The phases of professional orientation, motivation, training and selection of participants, training of tutors and supervisors, assignment and adjustment in the organizations, mentoring, monitoring, evaluation, impact study and dissemination of results are discussed, as well as the sustainability of the project. The background of the project, an analysis of the obstacles/facilitators, improvement actions and future challenges are also discussed.
