摘要
Our study presents several cases of successful e-government practices in sub-Saharan, Africa and suggests areas in dire need for further research within this domain. While we neither claim that e-government will amount to successful governance, or that it will instantly transform poorly governed nations into role-models of exceptional governance, we posit that as illustrated in the successful cases presented in this stud), cap abilities (such as electronic voting, web-based reporting of government spending, etc) made possible by e-government applications present a possible avenue for the effective delivery of government services, operationalization of functional and sustainable governance frameworks, and the implementation of efficient government operations. We also argue that these cases could be a point of reference for other sub-Saharan African countries that desire to adopt e-government practices the future.
