Spherical Debye-waller factors in EXAFS

摘要
In this work we apply the newly developed EXAFS Debye-Waller factor theory to some systems surrounded by light or heavy atoms excited by linearly polarized X-ray. In this theoretical treatment we have two different thermal factors, a plane wave part which does not disappears for large kR limit, and a spherical wave parr which disappears for that limit. The latter includes rather different effective backscattering amplitude which gives rise to phase difference in EXAFS function. This is important to pick up geometrical information from Fourier transformation, because the phase difference can cause peak shift in the Fourier transformed spectra.
