摘要
The ability for workers to connect in real-time with an expert system to get the assistance they might need while also having access to rich, animated step-by-step instructions in one, a unified interface has the potential to transform the way people work, while also saving manufacturing companies valuable time, resources and significant costs. This paper proposes an integrated platform to address a common demand by many manufacturing companies: an affordable solution using low-cost IoT hardware to provide smart instruction and live process tracking during assembly of manufactured parts. The proposed platform is built specifically for the unique assistance needs of industries with a versatile product portfolio delivering the ability for small and medium-sized (SME) companies to leverage the benefits of Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) for live support in repairing, troubleshooting a problem or conducting maintenance on equipment. Using the presented approach, workers will have immediate access to the enterprise knowledge and expertise closing the knowledge gap between experienced workers and new employees.
