摘要
Spaces suffer constant configurations in their territories as a result of the various economic models implemented. The objective of the research was to analyze the economic activities since the foundation of Chipilo, an Italian Colony settled in the municipality of San Gregorio Atzompa, Puebla up to present times. The study was cross-sectional and descriptive, a document review technique was used and a questionnaire was applied to 50 inhabitants of the community. Results show important changes at various historical moments. Previous to the establishment of the Italian colony, the space was occupied by indigenous people. An important economic contribution by the Italian colony established in Chipilo was the beginning of dairy farming production. This activity developed in an accelerated growth until the 1970s and later began to lose economic importance. It is concluded that the livestock activity entered into crisis and that it has been replaced by new emerging markets, such as the production of furniture.
