摘要
Pollution of river basin is a serious problem both in China and abroad. It is complicated to solve pollution problem, especially for the river basin, across some different provinces. Ju River is such a river, which belongs to Jiyun Water System and is one of its upper branches. The river emanates from Xinglong County, Hebei Province, and enters into Pinggu District of Beijing through Nihe Village, and then flows to Sanhe County, Hebei Province. Pollution sources and current pollution situation of Ju River in Beijing section is studied in the paper, for the pollution there has adverse effect both on local environment and the lower reach. With the decrease of runoff in the Ju River in recent years, the upper reach of the Jinhai Lake is almost dry. A large amount of industrial wastewater and domestic wastewater is discharged into the Ju River when it flows through Pinggu district, causing serious deterioration of the water quality. The characteristic of pollutants related to the different economic and human activities in the study area as cities, industrial areas, agriculture and breeding activities has been studied by field surveys and monitoring campaigns. Based on the analysis and organization of the information collected, some practical plans with relatively low cost was brought forward, which has prospect to decrease the pollutant load in Ju River in Beijing in a relatively short time.
