摘要
The industrialization of Romania represents one of the most significant chapters of the economic history, as well as of the history of the national economic thought. The process of industrialization comes to invalidate the theory of a "signally agrarian Romania", marking the beginnings of a diversification concerning the structure of the Romanian economy. Moreover, the industrialization also constitutes a premise of the modernization of our economy/society, sustaining at the same time political interests concerning the national assertion. The present paper wants to present the origins of this process, to describe the effervescence created in the Romanian society by the principle confrontation between those who were sustaining agriculture and those sustaining industry, respectively to debate upon the place and role that have been granted to the Romanian industry since its beginnings.
