Facile synthesis of porous g-C3N4/β-SiAlON material with visible light photocatalytic activity

摘要
A porous material based on beta-SiAlON ceramic matrix was synthesized by the combustion of ferrosiliconaluminum (FSA) in nitrogen atmosphere. The material was used as a substrate for a graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4)-based photocatalyst. g-C3N4 was loaded on the beta-SiAlON-based ceramic composite by thermal treatment of carbamide in the presence of the composite. As a result, the g-C3N4 particles were uniformly distributed in beta-SiAlON composite pores. The resulting material has displayed high stability and photocatalytic activity for murexide oxidation in aqueous solution under visible-light irradiation. The results obtained have shown the approach to the preparation of g-C3N4 supported on the porous ceramic composite has potential as advanced technology to fabricate photocatalysts for the removal of organic pollutants from water.
