Numerical analysis of heat transfer between gas and solid in vibrated fluidized bed

Vibrated fluidized bed (VFB) is firstly utilized for heat transfer purposes in cryogenic system, e.g., recycling of waste rubber in low temperature. A simple mathematical model proposed to describe the characteristics of heat transfer between gas and solid in VFB was investigated with the aid of computer simulations. With the discretization equations were solved, the temperature profile in rubber particle was obtained according to certain boundary conditions. Computation results were verified by means of comparing with experiments. It indicates that little difference exists.
