On Motivation and Motivational Strategies in Chinese English Classroom

In foreign language learning, motivation is a kind of drive and momentum which impluses to study target language. However, due to various reasons and restrictions, most Chinese students' motivation of learning English is very low. This paper is attempt to enumerate some pragmatic strategies, such as creating harmonious classroom atmosphere, creating local version of English learning tasks, and creating practical teaching materials, to foster English learning motivation so that teachers can maintain and strengthen learners' motivation and then learners' study efficiency can be improved.
